My friend Molly and I created Special: a zine that captures the special things in life. For our first issue, we kept our theme extremely broad to include all the feelings that deserved to be shared during a pandemic—feelings meant to help people relate and feel less alone. We curated submissions along a steady emotional rollercoaster and mimicked the energy each story brought visually by shifting layouts.
